Cousin Chet is here...

Today was a busy day on the ranch!

We preg checked all of our cows. I ran the computer and Fischer stayed with me until lunch time. Then Brenda and G'ma Susie watched him for me. It was a fun time for him and them!!!
He loved riding on the horse.
Uncle Scott and Aunt Renee are here, which means cousin Chet is here to play with Fischer. It is so cute! They both look at each other and smile and squeal. They both know that there is another little person to play with.
Fischer has enjoyed watching all of the cows being worked. I cannot wait for the time when he can say moo moo when the cows run by...right now he likes to watch them but can be distracted by about anything.
I am sure you all remember the distractable stage!

I have officially lost 17.2 pounds on Weight Watchers! I am writing this on my blog so that the next time I have a baby and I feel like I will never lose the weight...I will know I can DO it!!! It just takes time and effort.
In my case it took 9 months. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Oh well, every time I look at Fischer...I know it was worth it!!!!
Speaking of Fischer...he is sure a little character. At meal time he cannot contain himself. He has to grunt and squeal if we are not feeding him fast enough. He also does not know a stranger. He smiles at everyone...I love it when he smiles because he just lights up.

My mom is coming soon and we CANNOT wait to see her. She flies in November 2!!!
I know that when she comes I WILL not hold Fischer.

Here are some pictures of the past weekend! We sure had fun with Aaron, Candy and Amelia.

We had a little Halloween get together on Sunday and Fischer was a frog and Amelia was a lion!

Fischer has sure changed! The little pooh blankie is the only toy he had in his incubator and he is still enjoying it nine months later.

This has been such a wonderful and busy weekend! We met our dear dear friends Aaron, Candy, and Amelia on Friday after Fischer had a doctor's appointment. I ended up staying the night Friday night with Fischer. Chris had to head home because we were working calves the next day. Candy and I stayed up until midnight chatting!!! It felt SO good to have some girl talk...us moms need that once in awhile. Well, we paid for it the next morning when our little ones starting kicking and clawing our faces at 7AM.

We then headed over to Brooklyn SueAnn's baby shower. It was sure nice to see the glowing mommy and her cute baby! She is sure an adorable baby. Candy and I also saw lots of people we hadn't seen in awhile. It was nice to chat with all the friends in that area again.

On our way over to the shower, Amelia and Fischer decided to have a crying game. So when one would stop crying the other would listen intently and then start to cry too!!! By the time we reached our destination our little ones eyes were red and they had little green boogies sticking out of each of their noses! That may be a little descriptive, but all moms know what I am talking about when their child has worked themselves up until their noses are running and little tears are pouring out!
Luckily our trip back was not so terrible. We decided to try another tactic...I sat in the back with them just in case they decided to start the game again. This time they were wonderful and slept most of the way back!
I will post some pictures tomorrow! Right now I need some sleep.

Let it snow...
Let it snow...
We finally finished our metal roof on Monday, October 16, 2006!
I forgot to mention what I was baking!!!!

BANANA BREAD

We've had some wintery days on the ranch. It was freezing yesterday...I had to put our kitty inside the porch to protect him from the weather. Luckily our dogs have a nice warm shed!

This time of year always makes me more motivated to bake some yummy stuff! I decided I better use some of my old bananas. It seems like I have plenty of those around right now because Fish loves nanners.

I put Fish into his snowsuit and headed down to the guest house because our stove is not working right now. Luckily, I have some wonderful help as you can see in the pictures! Fish loves our guests.

Dad and Fish have lots of quality time right now, which Fish is loving!!! Dad can always make him giggle.
Hope everyone stays warm and cozy!

We have a little cowboy in the making!
These chaps were given to Fischer when he was first born. It has his name, birthdate, weight, and height engraved on the chaps.

Also I am including the picture of Emily now because sometimes the computer messes up and cannot upload too many pictures!

Note to everyone with small children: DO NOT let Dad feed the baby!

We had the privilege of having Emily visit yesterday. So here are some pictures of that visit! It was so nice to have some female company.

Today Chris and I helped restock our ponds with fish. Fischer really enjoyed looking at all of the baby fish swimming around in the ponds! Hopefully by the time the baby fish are big enough to catch, Fischer will be big enough to catch them. I having a sneaking suspicion that Dad is going to teach him how to fish very early in life!!!!

The attached picture of Fischer was taken by my sister-in-law. We enjoyed seeing lots of family this past weekend. As you can see...Fischer was enjoying himself!

I am also including some pictures of our log house. We are almost done putting the metal on the roof. Hopefully we will be done with that by the end of this weekend or early next week.

I was inspired by my sister-in-law Amy to start a blog! So last Saturday I tried to start one and crashed my in laws computer. Okay...it wasn't that bad. It just seemed like I did. I think that computer was having troubles in the first place and just picked that time to crash!

So here it goes again...

The most exciting thing to happen this month for our family is that my husband Chris broke his ankle. I kept telling everybody that he fell off of his horse, but really his horse fell on him. So we had to rush him to the clinic and on our way his pain killer kicked in and he started laughing hysterically. I almost ran off the road and our son Fischer started crying.

Fischer is now nine months old and very busy! We had to go to the doctor yesterday for his nine month check up. He weighed 15 pounds 7 ounces and was 27 inches long! He is doing so well...especially since his birth weight was 2 pounds 15 3/4 ounces. He is rolling over and saying maa maa and daa daa.

We are also in the process of building a log house. It has been a lesson in patience and grace for me.
I will send some pictures now!
