Sanctuary

I know not all of you can come and visit us! So I thought I would share a view from the inside of our house looking out onto our deck. This is the first summer that we have really been able to fully use/appreciate our deck. It is such a lovely sanctuary. Chris said that last night when he came home hot and dry from riding all day. He just sat on a lawn chair, sipped mtn dew with ice, and enjoyed the flowers all around him.
This is also an invitation to anyone that can come visit. Please come join us in enjoying our little sanctuary on the ranch. :)

My newest LO...

LayOuts, LayOuts, LayOuts!

17/52

Jessicasprague.com is celebrating its 2nd Birthday. This was the LO I made for the June CAD for the website.

Sorry that I have been missing from the challenge for a few weeks. But I am ready to get back on track!!!
My mom hung this picture of on Darby's board in her hospital room. I love the way that she is hugging my sister and I. It is just a little picture of how kind my Aunt Darby is...
She is making progress each day, and her new liver is working!

Lots to Report!

A lot has happened since I last blogged. My aunt did receive a liver on Saturday June 13, 2009. She is now stable, and just trying to regain her strength. She was in the ICU for 7 days, and is just really really weak. I talked to her on the phone yesterday. The only thing she could say is "Hi, I love you." I could hardly understand her, and I could feel that it took everything thing she had to say those words.
Mike and James played great in the tournament. Chris and I watched their game at the guest house here at the ranch.
Mike hit a 2-run homerun, and James hit a couple RBI's and played great defense. It was pretty fun to watch. They are going home today to Mississippi.
Also my dear, dear friend Jen had a baby girl on June 15, 2009. Her name is Addilyn Emma. They had to take her to Denver because she was born a month early, and her little lungs were not developed all the way. She will be fine, but I know it is stressful for Jen.
It seems life moves very slowly, and then everything happens at once. We are headed to convention for a few days! I will post more when we are home again!

My Aunt Darby...

My Aunt Darby is extremely ill right now, and needs a liver transplant. I made this LO for her, and for me. I needed to remember her this way before I go to see her in the hospital this week. I know that she is extremely ill. I love her dearly, and just keep hoping that it will all work out.
Keep her in your thoughts please...

My Brothers are playing in the College World Series!

http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4240053

This is my brother James being interviewed by ESPN. He won MVP of the game as well!
Mike (my other brother :)) is James's identical twin, and he is on the same team. He played great during this tournament too. He didn't play during this game because there was a left handed pitcher, and Mike hits left handed. I guess it is hard for Lefty's to hit off of a left handed pitcher. ;)
I am a pretty proud sister, can't you tell???

Moose Crossing...

I just love hummingbirds and the way they buzz and zip around! It makes me want to get busy.

Forever In Blue Jeans

A Mud Bath?!?

I was busy putting grass seed in the area where we took the white house down, and then I turned around to find this! Fish kept saying that they were "pigs playing in the mud!"

My June Create A Day Challenge!

I am challenging myself to make a layout for each day of the month of June. I will sometimes play catch up (mainly when I go to convention). But so far so good...

Hope you enjoy!
