Painting and Fischer's first steps with help!

Fischer took his first steps with help! He used to be scared when his helper would move, but now he will move with it. Sometimes it looks like he is doing aerobics because he will just sit there and lift his leg up and down.

The utility bathroom all painted with trim. Today Chris put all of the trim up, and I helped him paint the baseboards.

Our utility sink is in and running. It is so nice to have running water in the house.

The stairs are almost done!

If you click on the picture with the toilet, you can see the imprints of the leaves on the wall. That is really pretty!

What made you whitewash your b'room ceiling and trim? It's an interesting look...we've never seen that in a log home. I love the aspen leaves! Very nice! And great for Fischer!

I really like the way you made the ceiling in the utility room a lighter color. It brightens up the room. The aspen leaves are really a nice, unique touch.
Fischer looks so grown up. I sure would like to see him...calisthenics and all!!I miss you.Happy calving, Chris...better lay off the house and save your energy for the night shift!
I love you Katydid!!!!

Woot, woot!! :) It looks GREAT! It was SO fun to see you today! I wish I would have been in a position to invite you to eat with us for awhile. Anyway, Fischer seemed to be having fun and after you left my friend said, "HE is a cute one!" I gushed. "I know," I said. :)

Back to the house -- I want to admit that I didn't really understand how the leaves would show up when you talked about it earlier, but now that I see the finished product, it looks REALLY awesome! I'm SO impressed!! :) Thanks for sharing!

And, Mr. Fischer is cute as always. Amy currently has my digital camera, trying to take a picture of "Fisha"!!
See you soon!

I love the way your bathroom is turning out. The aspen wood and leaves are lovely. Did you use a couple colors of paint or a special kind of paint? It looks kind of mottled, not all one tone. I really like that look.

Give Fischer an extra hug for me.

WOW!! It has been awhile since I have been able to check your blog and I am amazed and impressed with all the progress on the house! With your unique ideas and clear vision in your mind of how you want the house to turn out, I can't wait to see the finished product!! And I am not even speaking to Melody now that I know she is coming to your house this weekend and I am not. :) Fischer is too cute - can't wait to see that little personality in action when we see you!! Is your Mom coming to Wyo or you to TX??

Hey Karen,
We used a sponge painter that we picked up at Lowes. You just use two different colors of paint and then sponge it onto the walls. I chose a light green and a dark green for my colors, but you can do any two colors that compliment each other.
Michelle, I hear that you may be getting some special guests this weekend too! So you can't not speak to Mel for too long. ha ha ha
Lisa M., I hope you have a lovely trip and we will miss you blogging pics! Try to post some if you get a chance.
