Fischer

Dad and Fischer eating lunch in the hospital cafeteria before Fish's appointment on Monday. It sure brought back lots of memories to head back to the hospital where Fischer was born! He did great at his check up. He tested out above average for his speech and fine motor skills. We need to work on his gross motor skills though! He wants to scoot on his tummy instead of crawling. So we are doing some exercises with him to help him learn to crawl, but he is stubborn. He knows that he can get around just fine creeping along...so pushing him up to his knees can be challenging. We will just keep working with him. Chris joked that maybe he is one of those kids who will be happy just sitting and reading!

Fischer all ready to help Dad with calving! We have had four babies so far.

A Stampin Up Weekend!

Fischer all dressed up before Sunday meeting. He sure enjoyed seeing everyone this weekend.

Landin was such a help with Fischer. Landin even shared some of his bread with Fischer. He wanted to give Fischer a grape, but we decided on bread since a grape could choke him!

It was so nice to meet Sylvia and her daughter Marcela. Here, Sylvia is playing pat-a-cake with Fischer.

Fischer giving Brooklyn a hug!

Brooklyn, Maria and Fischer all enjoyed each others toys!

Fischer is yelling in this picture. Something that he has been doing a lot of lately. He yells so loud that often he scares other babies enough to make them cry!
Also you know when you take a drink of water and then go "Ahhhh" after a big sip. Fischer has started doing this after he takes a drink, and also before to let you know that he is thirsty. The other day I was watering the plants and he went, "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!" I think he was telling me that they were thirsty!

Krista, Morgan and Orlinda were such wonderful babysitters. They gave all of the moms enough time to make some fun cards! Thanks to all of them.

And all of the stampers!

We sure enjoyed the weekend Kathy and Kristi. Thank you for putting on such a fun stampin up party! We will have to do is again soon.

Here's what is happening...

Today the guys moved the heifers home! It is calving time again...we haven't had a baby yet, but I will post a picture once we do.

Yesterday, we decided to stop on our way over to Owen and Kristi's for a pregnancy shot. I am 13 weeks now!

Tim and Duane so kindly brought our cabinets. Clark and Chris have been busy working on cabinets all week. I decided on black nobs. What do you guys think!?! I am going to put black appliances in too. I think it will look good, but would love any imput.

This is the view from the loft. George has installed most of the lights in the house with Chris's help. We had an electrician come out for two days this past week to help with the more complicated stuff, but so far George and Chris have done most of it.

Chris is has been laying the tile in the utility bathroom! As in Michelle's blog, this is an act of a GOOD HUSBAND! It means that we are closer to being able to order a washer and dryer. It is very thoughtful of him to try and get this done before calving starts. That way I don't have to haul our laundry so far.

Mel & Michelle's Blogging Birthday Party!

I have been scheming for awhile about how to celebrate Mel and Michelle's 30th birthday party. I know that all of us live so far away that it makes it hard to get together to celebrate a birthday party...so why not just create one with our blogs! That way we can laugh, chat, and have fun even though distance does not allow us to do it face to face.
So here is the deal, I need all of you to help me create the best birthday party ever. This is for everyone! Even for those that do not know Mel and Michelle. A Birthday Party is a great way to make new friends and make more memories with old friends. And Mel and Michelle better not be shy either...we need your input desperately! I want to know what kind of cake we would bake, what kind of drinks we would drink! I know for sure that there would be LOTS of CHOCOLATE. I do know that Mel and Michelle both love chocolate and many of those that are coming to the party too. We need to figure out the gifts we would bring! Also when it would be and for how long. I am thinking that an all day girl party is sounding quite nice right now with all of these windy, snowy days! I am in desperate need of girl talk. Does that sound good to the rest of you? Also what games would we play? I think one of them would be dominoes! Then we could laugh like Mel did at Loretta's. Also what hot drinks can others bring? I know we WILL need those with the weather this year! So let me know what you all think? Lets put on our creative caps and come up with the best blogging party ever!
I have posted a picture of the items I would bring:

Pepsi

Peanutbutter M&M's

Balloons

Red Vines

Hershey's Milk Chocolate Cake with Rich and Creamy Cream Cheese Frosting

And some extra icing if we wanted to put writing on the cake or something!

Tin Roof Sundae Ice Cream

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream

I have yet to think of the best gift ever, but will get back to you on the comments section.

What other desserts could we have beside chocolate cake? Also feel free to add what we would chat about and catch up on too!

I could kiss the plumber! hee hee

The shower in the utility bathroom!

The bathtub for the master bedroom!

Fischer jumping for joy because the plumber is here! Actually he is just jumping because he loves to!

We finished the clear coat yesterday too.

The plumber came yesterday afternoon...much to my delight.

A List of Reasons why I am so HAPPY about the plumber:
1) He can hook up my washer in my new house, which means I do not have to haul my laundry to the guest house next to George and Susie's...this has been going on since Dec 2004!
2) It means that we are that much closer to finishing the house!
3) I have a new bathtub that will scrub a nice beautiful white...right now our tub is an orange color! ha ha ha Chris calls our water privacy water...meaning it is sooo dirty that you cannot see anything when you are taking a bath!
4) Our toilets will flush easily! And the seat of the toilet will not fall off everytime a person needs to use the restroom!
Oh the joys of living in an old ranch house. I know years from now we will laugh about all of the memories!
PS: The faster we move in the less we will find dead rabbits and rats under our house! The count so far is 3 rabbits and 3 rats. Our cat keeps getting stuck under there too. So Chris has to retrieve him every couple of days! Have I told you all the story of our other cat that died under the house? I had to burn lots of candles. Somehow they manage to creep in there, and then cannot find a way out!
