Special guests and Special memories...

Fischer enjoyed reading and sharing a snack with Elaine in the loft.

We sure enjoyed having Brent, Shawna, and Elaine stay with us Monday night!

Elaine playing the flute.

Hazen enjoyed listening to Elaine's sarungi.

Elaine playing the Nepali sarungi for us. It was beautiful, and it is such a neat instrument.

A scary alligator...
Fischer is really into "scary" right now. So G'ma's brush became a "scary alligator."

Clayton, Allison and Larkin were able to come for a short visit last Saturday.

This is what Mom does when she is snowed in!

I moved our bedroom downstairs from the loft. It was fun to have a project, and I like how it turned out!
So now all of our guests get to sleep in the loft. Come on over, we would love to have you try it out!!!

I make a fun flower arrangement to match my bedding.

This picture makes me laugh! This is what happens when Mom is not fast enough with her camera. Luckily, I was able to take a few good ones too!

Fischer wore Dad's coat today so that he could ride on the 4-wheeler and stay warm.

Chris took him snowblowing this afternoon, and I was able to take a NAP with Hazy!!!

Fischer was busy shooting coyotes with my turket baster this morning.

Sick, sick, sick and more Fischer sayings

Fischer has his first ear infection! Hazy is sick for the first time. I have been spoiled because Hazen is almost six months old, and has yet to be sick. It was bound to happen. Luckily, Fischer and Hazen are on the mend. Did I mention that Chris is sick too? He is on the mend too. And I was the first to get this terrible cold. We were only able to go to town a few times, and then we come home with a cold. How is that for going to town?!? ha ha ha
Chris took Fischer this afternoon so I could take a nap!!! Now I call that a great Valentine gift, don't you?!? :)
Last night, Chris asked Fischer what he did during the day, and Fischer's response "stuck in the snow again yesterday and vaccuuming up messes yesterday!" What a busy boy. He had outside and inside chores to do. ;)
The "scary" snake was back again today. The snake today was a straw, Mom's watch, and Mom's ponytail holder!

Happy Valentine's Day

Fischer just keeps making me laugh!

"Please, Me" I think this saying pretty much sums up the two year old stage! ;)
"See Mommy"
"See baby Hazy right now"
"Hold Fischer Mommy" I love it when he says this!
"Member" for remember
Right now he is horribly scared of snakes so he keeps finding things in our house that look like snakes ( straws) and then does a little jig and tells me how "scary" they are!
"Hold Mommy's hand" I love it when he says this!
"Need it, G'ma" He said this to G'ma while we were grocery shopping the other day. He was informing G'ma what she needed to buy, whether it was on her list or not!
"Cool" Everytime we head downstairs to see what Daddy has done in the basement I always say "cool." So now Fischer Lee says it is "cool" too.
Last night he was telling us a story about being "stuck in the snow yesterday."
He also told us that he was going to "snowblow" with his tractor.

Might as well make the best of it...;)

The drifts at our house are big enough to go sledding. So we did...:)

Fish and Hazy pictures

Fish wearing his froggy towel.

Hazy wearing his turtle towel.

Mr. Blue eyes wearing his turtle shirt and matching blue socks.

The boys wore matching sweaters on Sunday for meeting. This picture is slightly washed out, but I still thought it was cute.

More snow pictures!

Chris pushing snow with the CAT in our yard yesterday. Yikes, I was slightly worried he would go over the edge...!!

This is the biggest traffic jam we've had all year! We decided to take both of our vehicles down to George and Susie's because our yard has become so impassable this year. I told the story backwards on accident, so you may want to scroll to the bottom of this post and then go up.

How lovely...

It looks like cotton candy to me! ;)

The sunset was beautiful Sunday evening...

George and Clayton walking back to the other vehicles with the chain.

We finally made it out with the truck, and I snapped this picture while the guys were unhooking the chain from the truck.

The guys hooking the truck to the CAT with a chain. Can you see how tall our drifts are?

Unfortunately, Chris's truck was a different story....

Chris and George had to bring a chain so the guys could hook his truck to the CAT to pull it out.

Owen celebrating because we were able to drive our car out in one try!

Owen pushing snow with the CAT so that we could drive our vehicles out of our yard!

Some more Fischer sayings...

Everytime we explain something to Fish he says very matter of factly, "Oh, I see..."
Whenever he drops something he says, "Oppsey dropped it." So now I catch myself saying it whenever I drop something too! I know G'ma Susie does the same thing.
"Bye Bye See Ya" is his famous line whenever we are saying goodbye to anyone!
He always wants "Baby Hazy" to lay on the "pillow" with him in our guestroom. I wrote bed the other day, but then I noticed he just says pillow not bed.

This is what Fischer and Hazen do on Snowy Days!

Feed hay to the cows with our tractors...
(it is hard to see, but both boys are playing with a tractor)

Play the piano with Daddy...
(Do you notice Fischer's pull ups? They are pink and purple!!! G'pa kindly bought us some pull ups at Sam's on his way back from his trip, but didn't notice that the two boxes were little girl pull ups. Fischer doesn't care, and I just laugh everytime I see him running around in pink/purple pull ups. ;)

Ride in the snowblower with Owey...

Take naps with G'pa...

A snowmobile ride to remember...

This was our ride out to the county road on Sunday. It was quite an ordeal getting the kids all bundled up and out to the county road. We tried to take everyone on the snowmobile, and that was not happening. I don't think we made it past the first drift next to our house...:)
So Hazen and I waited in the house, while Chris took Fischer out to the truck on the county road. Clayton was waiting there to help load Fischer. Then Chris came back, and I hopped on the back of the snowmobile, and we stuck Hazen in between us. Chris had to stand the entire ride over because there was not enough room with the carseat in between us. I laughed the entire ride out to the truck because our dogs just stared at us like we were crazy.
Chris tied Fischer's kid scraf over my ears. We thought it would keep my ears warm and my bun in place!

The boys love to lay on the bed in our guestroom. Fischer turns the lights on and off, and then the other day I found him covered in his Dad's shirts that I had just taken out of the dryer. He said he was putting "covers" on him and baby Hazy. A couple times a day, Fischer will come to me and ask me to put baby Hazy on the "bed."

Owen used his snowblower to open our yard yesterday.
Hooray!!!

Big News Today!

Hazen has started pushing up, and reaching for his toys on his tummy. Before we know it, he will be crawling!

Busy Days...

Fischer was so excited because he was able to ride with Daddy in the snow blower today!

Chris is running the snow blower, and Gerry is running the road grader.

Willis pushing snow with the CAT today. They have been pushing, blowing, and using the road grader today to try and clear the road. We really appreciate Willis coming over today too!!!

I counldn't resist taking this picture today. Do you see how Fish is putting his hand on Hazy's shoulder?!? I just love it. :)

The sunset last night!

Fischer wearing Mom's "house shoes."

Owen came over on Friday, and pushed snow with the CAT all day. He came in for a quick supper, and then headed home. We were afraid that he was going to be snowed in because they kept closing the interstates, but they opened them by the time he was ready to head home. We really appreciated his help!!!
Also you may think that the person sitting in the high chair is Fischer, but it is not! Hazy J is sitting there, and Fischer is hiding behind "Clayt" playing peek-a-boo with Owey. I cannot believe that my little baby is big enough to sit in a high chair now.

Fischer enjoying a "popcorn" snack, while Hazen eats his "rice cereal."

Yummy rice cereal...

Fischer keeps saying that Hazen is a "messy eater."

Fischer "scaring" Daddy with the empty grocery bag!

The guys had to bring our groceries in by snowmobile on Thursday evening.

For George and Sue...

There is no need to worry! Although the conditions have been terrible, all of the cows have full bellies, and all of the guys are fine. They are working on the snow blower right now with Owen and his hired hand. Hope you are having a great time, and no need to worry about us. Chris, Gerry and Clayton are doing a great job! :)

A peek into our everyday life...

Thursday afternoon...

Can you see the telephone poll in the background? The drifts on our county road are about half as tall as the telephone poll. It is crazy how much it has drifted.

The county guy in his payloader calling it a day!

This is the road leading to the heifers...
The county guy did not make it very far!

We were able to go to town! :) We went to stock up on groceries, buy some dog food, pick up the mail, buy some parts, and out to lunch. Chris even bought me a magazine with a bird on the cover so I would have something to read for the next few days. He said he thought it would remind me of spring. :) We have high wind warnings until 11PM tonight. On our way home we took some pictures of the drifts, and of the county guy running the payloader! Hope you enjoy, and hope you are all staying warm.

I was excited because I got a new pottery barn magazine!!! I know what I will doing tonight sitting next to the fire!
